SSTV or Slow Scan TeleVision is a fun way to receive your QSL cards, via the radio waves. All you need is your radio connected to your computer and any of the free computer programs available. Other hams will start transmitting their QSL cards via the radio waves for you to capture. In return, you can also send your card to confirm the QSO. No internet required! The images on this page will refresh whenever a new image arrives on my radio. Most of these images were captured on 14.230 MHz using Digital Master 780.
This first image is the very first image I received. After many days of just receiving, I decided to go ahead and try my hand at sending, and what do you know? It worked! It is just a matter of diving into it. Ham radio is a great hobby, never boring and with always something new to try.
This other one was fun to receive because it came in so crisp and sharp.
